General information

  • Transport is private (your dog/dogs only) and focused on your dog’s well-being. The safety and care of your dog will always be my priority

  • Your dog will be with me at all times during transport, including staying inside the hotel with me. At no time will your dog be left alone for an unnecessary amount of time in the car or hotel

  • Some dogs like their own bed in the hotel, others are more comfortable curling up on a human’s bed. I’m happy to accommodate your dog to make her overnight stays as comfortable as possible

  • Never an additional charge for normal daily care and interaction with your dog including walks, playtime, petting, conversation, etc…

  • You are welcome to pack the vehicle with your dog’s belongings and some items to be transported to the delivery location.

  • On a corporate move and being reimbursed by your company? The invoice will detail your personal information and general details of the transport (your dog’s name, pick up and delivery locations, pick up date, etc…). You will immediately receive an invoice marked “paid” when the balance is paid in full

  • Tipping / gratuity is not expected nor required

Contract & payment

Once we lock down details, I'll send you a brief contract to review and sign electronically via DocuSign. You can sign on your iPhone, iPad, or desktop computer. A subscription with DocuSign is not necessary for you to sign electronically.

  • After signing is complete, you'll be emailed a copy of the completed contract

  • Invoicing and credit card or ACH payments is handled online through QuickBooks. Checks and wires are also accepted

    • A refundable 50% deposit (more if a rental car is needed) secures my services and dates of travel. You are welcome to pay the entire amount if more convenient

    • Deposit is refundable except for any flight I am unable to receive a refund for along with the stated cancellation fee

  • Balance is due after delivery (net 10 days)

Logistics

  • We will agree on how your pet is transported: Free in the vehicle on a favorite bed, harnessed and attached to a seatbelt, etc. Most of my customers have their dog free in the vehicle but puppies typically need to be in a crate or travel bag. We can adjust as necessary during the trip. I do not allow for large dogs to be transported in a crate though exceptions may be made.

  • At pickup, I’ll need your pet's food, available documentation, leash and collar along with anything else that will make his trip comfortable. A health certificate is not necessary for travel but a recent check up for dogs with medical or behavioral concerns is always prudent

  • Feeding, watering, and medication instructions can be emailed to me or taped to containers. Food can be pre-measured in individual bags as well

  • Depending on the region, I drive 450mi-550mi a day, stopping every 2-3 hours or as discussed. Delivery is scheduled at a normal time of day when you or someone you designate is available to receive your dog. Depending on the situation and your preference, it may make more sense to do a longer drive on the final day and deliver later in the evening

  • Access to GPS tracking of my iPhone through Google Maps and iPhone’s “Share My Location” function is available throughout the trip

  • Geotagged photos of your dog are sent throughout the trip via text, email, or shared album. Videos and FaceTime available upon request
